Saving nearly $200,000 in electric bills over 30 years, while slashing carbon emissions by 50,000 pounds each year is enough to make anybody smile, but that isn’t the only thing that’s making Shawn Lessord happy these days. Lessord, senior project manager of Renewable Rochester, a Webster-based distributor of solar energy systems, says silencing skeptics can be a lot of fun, too.

When the Titans christen their new artificial turf field Sept. 23, it will be the first-ever Friday night football home game for Webster Thomas. Brandon Ange will be leading the team out onto its new, 1,800-person capacity stadium.
Ange, a 10-year-old fifth-grader at Schlegel Road Elementary School, loves sports. He participates in soccer, basketball and the Special Olympics. He has also been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. The security camera at Marvin Mozzeroni's on Main Street in Webster showed it all: a man seemingly drops from the ceiling, takes some cash from the register and leaves — running out the door into the daylight. It was around 7 a.m. the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, when the gloved man apparently scaled the roof of Marvin Mozzeroni’s, entered the vent system, kicked out the fans of the pizza ovens and entered the shop’s kitchen during off-hours.
