Hochstein School of Music and Dance, 50 N. Plymouth Ave., Rochester, will offer its summer camps and classes July 10-Aug. 18.
Children ages 4-10 can participate in Arts in Action summer camps featuring music, art and movement. Music and dance group classes and individual instruction for all ages are available.
The summer catalog is available online and at the school.
New classes this summer include children’s jazz dance and hip hop for ages 7-12, a group harmonica class for ages 10 and older and Songwriter’s Society for ages 12 and older.
Regular summer offerings include Suzuki Strings and Music FUNdamentals classes for young children; topic-specific music camps and workshops such as Flute Camp, String Jam, School of Rock Camp, Guitar Camp, Jazz and Improvisation Workshop and Percussion Camp; individual instrument and voice lessons; music theory classes; ballet classes for ages 3 and older; tap, Latin and modern dance classes; jazz combos and short-term classes on ukulele, guitar and vocal technique; and music, art and dance therapy for individuals and groups through the Expressive Arts program.
Registration is required by appointment or attending a walk-in registration day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 10 and 3 to 8 p.m. June 13 and 15 and July 11.
Limited tuition assistance is available for all programs to those who qualify based on household income.
