Immaculee Ilibagiza, author and Rwandan genocide survivor, will speak at the Rochester Catholic Women’s Conference starting at 7:30 a.m. March 18 at Aquinas Institute, 1127 Dewey Ave., Rochester.
Ilibagiza survived the genocide by hiding in a 3 feet by 4 feet bathroom with seven other women. She will share how her fear, anger and resentment turned to faith, hope and forgiveness through prayer. She has authored seven books internationally.
Bishop Salvatore Matano will start the conference with Mass.
Registration costs $25 general admission and $15 for students.
