Tickets are now available for “The Sound of Music,” which will run Feb. 28 through March 5 at Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Auditorium Theatre, 885 E. Main St., Rochester.

“‘The Sound of Music’ has been in our ears for decades, as it deserves to be,” said Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, director. “But it might be time to look once more, and more closely, at this remarkable work which, I feel, begins to reveal itself as deeper, richer and more powerful than ever.”

Ben Davis will portray Capt. Georg von Trapp along with Melody Betts as Mother Abbess, Merwin Foard as Max Detweiler, Teri Hansen as Elsa Schraeder, Austin Colby as Rolf, Paige Silvester as Lisel, Roy Gantz as Friedrich, Ashley Brooke as Louisa, Austin Levine as Kurt, Iris Davies as Brigitta, Kyla Carter as Marta, Anika Lore Hatch as Gretl and Charlotte Maltby as Maria Rainer in her national tour debut.

The production is choreographed by Danny Mefford with music supervision by Andy Einhorn. The design and production team features Douglas Schmidt, set design; Jane Greenwood, costume design; Natasha Katz, lighting design; and Ken Travis, sound design.
