The Community Design Center Rochester will kick-off its 12th annual Reshaping Rochester series from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 25 at Gleason Works Auditorium, 1000 University Ave., Rochester.

Gina Renzi, executive director of The Rotunda in Philadelphia, will present “Embedding the Arts: Bringing the Arts to Where They Are Needed and Revitalizing a Neighborhood.”

The presentation is about a former church that was converted by the University of Pennsylvania into a performance venue. Renzi will explore how the project’s impact of rehabbing unused houses is stabilizing the surrounding neighborhood and providing arts and cultural programming space.

Tickets cost $15 general admission, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older and free for students with an ID.
