The Webster Thomas High School Bowling teams recently traveled to participate in the Festival of Lights tournament at Tonawanda Lanes.
The bowling center’s 42 lanes hosted 24 boys teams and 18 girls teams. The tournament format had three games in the morning and three in the afternoon. High overall totals for the day determined the winners. After the morning session the Thomas girls were in first place. The boys moved from first place after the first game to third.
The boys maintained a hold on third place until the last game of the day sliding into fourth by 20 pins at the end. The girls held on to first place in a very close match with the second and third place teams, winning the tournament 23 pins over second 62 pins over third. Mikayla Farrara won first place medal for the tournament high game of 256. Cassidy Anschutz won a second place medal for her tournament high series of 1160.
The Titans will go back to Tonawanda Lanes in February for the Roy Sommer Memorial Tournament.
