The Rochester Museum and Science Center, 657 East Ave., will host master combat specialist Doug Marcaida for its “Into the Flame” program featuring a martial arts show, meet-and-greet and fire-related demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 7.
Marcaida, of Rochester, is a judge on History Channel’s “Forged in Fire.” He has studied fighting styles and techniques around the world and designs deadly blades. Guests will have the opportunity to learn from one of the most skilled experts in the evolution of weapons and war.
Attendees can expand their knowledge on forging and fire with RMSC’s “Elements of the Extreme” exhibit. Both the exhibit and program are free with museum admission.
