Thank you to the residents in Monroe, Wayne, Ontario and Livingston counties who packed shoeboxes for children this Christmas season. Together, we filled a record high of 20,262 boxes with school supplies, hygiene items and treasures for Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. For many, the shoeboxes will be the first gifts they have ever received.
These boxes are delivered by Samaritan’s Purse to children living in poverty, affected by natural disaster or war to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. This couldn’t have happened without the support of those who opened their hearts to pack a box and for the countless volunteers in schools, community groups and churches.
We’re honored and blessed to be part of the Finger Lakes region of New York, where so many people are willing to share their time, talent and gifts to help those in need.
