Regional Transit Service recently announced its new service and schedule changes that will go into effect Jan. 2.
Limited stop service routes that provide faster service with fewer stops to some of Rochester’s more popular destinations will be renamed as ROC-it routes. These routes will have their own paper schedules, which will be available at the RTS Transit Center, 60 St. Paul St., Rochester.
The specific bus stops along each of the ROC-it routes will be changed to include the new ROC-it Route logo as new bus stop signs are installed throughout 2017.
RTS will also implement improvements to several routes in 2017. Route 9 Jay/Maple will be extended to Rochester Tech Park to provide improved service to customers on that route, including those working at the new Maximus call center. Route 10 Dewey will be improved to include extended weekday trips from Dewey Avenue and Ridge Road to Northgate Plaza and Walmart. Every trip on the Route 16 Crosstown will be expanded to provide service to LiDestri Foods.
