The US District Attorney’s Office says they will not seek the death penalty in the case of Richard Wilbern. Wilbern is charged with murder and is accused of shooting and killing Raymond Batzel, who was a customer at the credit union that day.

The man accused of robbing the Xerox Federal Credit Union in Webster 13 years ago will not face the death penalty.

The US District Attorney’s Office says they will not seek the death penalty in the case of Richard Wilbern. Wilbern is charged with murder and is accused of shooting and killing Raymond Batzel, who was a customer at the credit union that day.

Prosecutors also filed another charge against Wilbern – a weapons charge. He's accused of being a felon in possession of a weapon.
