Rochester Area Vegan Society will hold sessions of “A Plant-Based Diet: Eating for Happiness and Health” from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays from Jan. 3 through Feb. 7 at the Jewish Community Center, 1200 Edgewood Ave., Rochester, and Wednesdays from Feb. 22 through April 5 at Highland Hospital, 1000 South Ave., Rochester.
The six-week course taught by Ted Barnett outlines the benefits of a whole-food, plant-based diet for human health and all life on the planet with up-to-date references to scientific studies.
Recipes and food samples will be available at each class.
The course costs $150, with a discount for JCC members. Continuing medical education credits and credits for other health care professionals are available at an additional cost. Registration is required.
