The Monroe County Sheriff's Office say they have identified the body found in Lake Ontario as Mehmet Yilmaz, the man who went missing July 28 while swimming with friends.
Reports of a body floating in the water in West Webster, near Bay Outlet Park, were first called in around 12:35 p.m. Saturday.
The Sheriff's Office says the body was recovered a half mile east of the Bay Outlet.
Yilmaz was a 24-year-old student from Turkey. He was visiting Rochester and had considered attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.
He was not wearing a life jacket when he went missing.
