State police are investigating a farming accident that killed a Steuben County man Thursday night.
Troopers said Edward Diesel, 61, of Cider Hill Road, Urbana, was attempting to jump start a stalled tractor by rolling it down a moderately slopped hill. Mr. Diesel was thrown from the tractor and was run over by the rear tire.
He was taken to Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath before being flown to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa., where he was pronounced dead several hours later due to blunt force trauma injuries.
