An energetic and enthusiastic cast including 130 sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade students at Webster’s Willink Middle School has been diligently preparing its production of Disney’s “Mulan Jr.” since October. The show takes the stage this weekend.

Three event highlights

1
Set in ancient China, the action-packed stage adaptation includes a Huns “invasion.” It is up to the misfit Mulan, played by Christina Choma, and her mischievous sidekick Mushu, portrayed by Adam Hamilton, to save the Emperor.

2
The score includes favorites like “Reflection,” “Honor to Us All,” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” as well as new songs for the audience to enjoy.

3
The show, for all ages, is designed as a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit.
