The community is invited to the SparX robotics team open house from 2 to 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 18, in the gym at Webster Thomas High School, 800 Five Mile Line Road. The event is an opportunity to come see the work of Webster’s robotics team.

Students from both Schroeder and Thomas high schools, grades nine through 12, make up the team.

Under the guidance of parent and community mentors, teams have been working since January on a robot that will collect balls from the ground and shoot them into the four basketball hoops on a game field.

SparX is gearing up for the Finger Lakes Regional taking place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 8 to 10 at the Rochester Institute of Technology Field House.
