Spry Middle School science teacher Diane DiGravio is taking a group of students to Costa RIca to study rainforest ecology during their April break, but this weekend, there's a Pasta Rica Dinner, a fundraiser to help defray costs for the trip.
"Pasta Rica" is being held from 4 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday Feb. 4, at the Knights of Columbus hall, 70 Barrett Drive, Webster.
The teacher's husband, former owner and cook of DiGravio's Restaurant, will be the cook for the evening, "and.those of you who had visited our restaurant years ago may just remember his goooood Italian sauce!" Diane DiGravio said. "Just like Mama D's!"
The event will also include silent auctions, raffles etc.
Dinner tickets are $7; $4 for children age 12 and under. Seatings are from 4 to 5:30 p.m., 5:30 to 7 p.m., and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Take-out will also be available.
The ticket price includes pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert.
