Three Webster Schroeder students were charged with disorderly conduct after a food fight broke out in the cafeteria today, Sgt. Carl Adriaansen of the Webster Police said.
At around 11:15 a.m., Thursday morning the fight broke out. A student or students yelled out a code word and the food fight began, covering the cafeteria in lunches, flipping tables and chairs, Webster Police said.
The school was also placed into lockdown by school security, according to Adriaansen.
Students say that the school is reviewing the tape in the lunch room to see who threw the food. One senior says it was nearly half of the senior class involved, in what was their senior class prank. Though rumors are swirling that students will not be allowed to walk in graduation, Ann Carmody, the school's spokesperson says those decisions have not yet been made.
The three students that were charged with disorderly conduct have been suspended from school for five days and will be meeting with school administration.
The Webster Schroeder Senior Awards will be held tonight at 7 p.m., and the senior breakfast and senior ball are tomorrow.
