Local hair stylist and salon, store and spa owner Scott Miller was part of a Fashion Week team in New York City earlier this month.
Hair stylist Odile Gilbert hand-selected a small group of five world-class styling professionals, including Scott Miller, to join her team Feb. 10 to 14.
Throughout the week, Miller and the rest of Gilbert’s team brought her vision to the runway at shows for such trend-setting designers as Jason Wu, Jill Stuart, Monique Lhuillier, Theyskens Theory and Rodarte.
“Odile is so professional, inspiring and passionate about her work,” said Miller, who first worked with Gilbert at Fashion Week in New York City in fall 2011. “This season’s Fashion Week was as magical as last season’s, with so many professionals working together to personify her vision and showcase the look of these designers with the style, class and energy they deserve.”
One of Miller’s own team members, senior stylist Jason Weiland, was also at Fashion Week in New York City for the second time. He was one of just 12 stylists chosen for a Bumble and Bumble team.
“My first experience at Fashion Week in New York City with Bumble and Bumble this past fall was amazing,” Weiland said. “Being chosen again for February’s Fashion Week was not a given; it’s a stylist’s dream. I am so honored.”
For the last two years, Scott Miller has worked alongside the “stylist to the stars,” Oribe, on seven of Georgio Armani’s shows at Fashion Weeks in Paris and Milan. He’s also been on Oribe’s teams during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that aired on CBS 2009, and on a Vogue photo shoot the same year.
